Drywall manufacturer Siniat has achieved a 5% reduction in carbon intensity across its UK business sites thanks to more efficient technology and lean manufacturing processes.
It helps bring parent company Etex closer to its stated target of a 35% reduction in carbon intensity – Scope 1 and 2 emissions per unit of output – through increased use of recycled materials and a zero waste to landfill pledge.
With a new production line at its Bristol headquarters and improved systems at its Ferrybridge facility, Siniat has driven down the amount of carbon generated through its operations compared to 2024.
More sustainable operations were at the heart of the new £170m Bristol plant, with first-year figures reflecting a successful carbon emission reduction. The new line allowed Siniat to retire older equipment and achieve improved thermal performance and a reduction in energy intensity per tonne of product.
