The National Retrofit Hub has launched the Retrofit Community of Industry, a national initiative that connects built environment professionals with community retrofit innovators to fill critical delivery gaps and speed up local action.
Across the UK, communities are leading innovative retrofit projects but often lack direct access to the technical, financial and delivery expertise held within industry. Meanwhile, many professionals working in design, finance, policy, delivery, supply chains, and innovation want to contribute more practically to live projects. The Retrofit Community of Industry creates structured ways for knowledge, skills and support to flow between both sides.
“There is a huge amount of knowledge and expertise across the sector. The Retrofit Community of Industry is about unlocking that potential and connecting it with the communities that are driving change locally,” said Sara Edmonds, Co-Director of the National Retrofit Hub. “By stepping up together, we can deliver retrofit outcomes that matter to people, strengthen communities and build a fair transition that lasts.”
