Etex Building Performance has seen the number of staff holding the IFE level 3 in Passive Fire Protection increase by a third following the latest exam results as it continues its competency drive. A further eight employees have now passed the exam, taking the number of staff holding the qualification to 37 at drywall manufacturer Siniat and passive fire protection specialist Promat, both part of Etex Building Performance.
The highest industry-recognised qualification for passive fire specialists, the IFE Level 3 in Passive Fire Protection demonstrates a high level of understanding of how built-in fire safety products protect buildings from the spread of fire. While the qualification is often held by technical experts, all specification and technical staff at Siniat and Promat now either hold the qualification or are working towards it to ensure an enhanced level of knowledge in passive fire protection.
Along with internal training courses to increase knowledge across all members of the workforce, the focus on increased knowledge across Etex Building Performance directly supports the need to demonstrate competency in line with the Building Safety Act. www.etexgroup.com/en
