Glidevale Protect’s Head of Marketing and Sustainability Lead John Mellor, and Procurement Manager Michael Leape, with the new 100% recycled packaging.
Glidevale Protect has introduced new packaging which is produced from 100% recycled polymer and will be used across its production processes for the company’s entire membrane product range. The new packaging is a mixture of both post-consumer and post-industrial waste plastic, which reduces the demand for virgin plastic and helps to divert plastic waste from landfill.
Fully tested during trials at Glidevale Protect’s manufacturing facilities, the new packaging has now been rolled out at both Pinxton and Merthyr Tydfil sites. All products within the manufacturer’s range of wall, floor and roofing membranes are now being packaged using this 100% recycled material.
John Mellor, Head of Marketing and Sustainability Lead at Glidevale Protect, said: “Our Sustainability Board has set out a number of initiatives to help reduce our environmental impact across our business through continuous improvement. The introduction of 100% recycled plastic packaging is a great example of how working with our supply chain partners is helping us achieve our goals quicker.” www.glidevaleprotect.com
