MARMOX MULTIBOARD SHOWS FRESH FORM AT EXHIBITION

Marmox wound up its 25th anniversary year with a strong showing at London Build Expo in November, where the manufacturer’s original launch product proved its continuing relevance to the bathroom, wetroom and other sectors of the construction market, drawing interest from many among the thousands of attendees within the majestic setting of Olympia.

While the coated XPS board, available in a wide range of thicknesses, continues to find applications as a tilebacker and insulating wall liner – fully compliant with the NHBC’s recently enhanced requirements for water resistant substrates (Technical Guidance 9.2/O6) – the prominent Marmox stand also drew attention from specifiers and bathroom specialists interested in the new Tileable Basin range.

The preformed units have been developed to make it simple to incorporate a fully tiled basin into vanity units and wider tiling schemes in a practical and cost-effective manner. They are available with a push-plug or linear drain, while there is also a Tileable Shelf Extension to stretch the installation and provide space for toiletries.

Marmox’s Marketing Manager, Grant Terry, said: “Multiboard remains a core product within our expanding range and is strong enough to feature in floor build-ups as well as being made into shower trays and our new tileable basins. Fully waterproof and providing significant thermal insulation performance, the coated XPS is a genuine market leader for the domestic, commercial and hotel or leisure sectors.”

Multiboard is further available as a Corner Shelf or wall niches and is often used to create fitted bathroom furniture such as seating. www.marmox.co.uk
